Fund Raising for RNLI Appledore

Now Tops £4793

A Much modified Model Slipway kit by our Club Secretary, David Hunter to make this an accurate model of the Appledore Tamar Class lifeboat the Mollie Hunt - seen here in action on our home lake at Kenwith Castle and displayed by Martin Cox - the Appledore Coxswain in front of the Full Size Mollie Hunt at Appledore

Kenwith Castle Model Boat Club organises and attends regular fund raising events held on behalf of the RNLI. Over the past few years the club has been supported by a number of the major retail stores in and around Bideford who have allowed the club to put on a display of model boats in their stores and collect funds to support the Appledore lifeboat. We are most grateful to all the stores who have taken part and these include Morrisons, Asda, and Tesco. The public are always generous and including the latest collection at Tesco in December 2019, the club has raised over £4793, all of which has gone directly to the RNLI or the Lifeboat Station in Appledore.
